BML marks milestone as employees graduate from SMU Leadership Program

Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced the successful graduation of its employees from the esteemed Leadership and People Management Program conducted by Singapore Management University (SMU).

A total of 20 BML staff members have earned the Executive Certificate in Leadership and People Management, completing a comprehensive and demanding program designed to strengthen leadership capabilities. The curriculum integrated hands-on learning, in-depth case studies, and interactive sessions, enabling participants to apply advanced leadership skills directly to real-life challenges within the banking sector.

In addition to the executive-level certification, another 20 employees completed a certificate program in Leadership and People Management through the BML Academy. This initiative was also facilitated in collaboration with SMU and reflects the bank’s continued focus on professional development across all levels.

The BML Academy, which serves as the institution’s hub for training and development, plays a critical role in fostering talent through specialized programs and international learning partnerships. The bank’s emphasis on capacity-building and leadership development has earned recognition from global HR institutions, including the “Asia’s Best Employer Brand Award” by the World HRD Congress and the Employer Branding Institute.
