Dhiraagu donates over MVR 200,000 to children under state care
Dhiraagu has been providing Dhiraagu high-speed internet to all Amaan Veshi and Amaan Hiyaa shelters across the country to help meet the educational needs of children under state care.

Dhiraagu has donated over MVR 200,000 to children under state care through the "Donate on Dhiraagu App" programme.

The telecommunications provider revealed that a total of MVR 230,380 has been donated to children under state care through the "Donate on Dhiraagu App".

The company also highlighted that this includes MVR 150,000 donated by Dhiraagu and funds donated by several members of the public through the Dhiraagu app during the fasting month of Ramadan.

The funds were handed over to the children under state care at a special ceremony held at Dhiraagu. During the ceremony, the funds were presented to the ministry by Dhiraagu's CEO and Managing Director, Ismail Rasheed. Minister of Social and Family Development Dr. Aishath Shiham received the funds on behalf of the government.

The funds are set to be donated to Fiyavathi, Amaan Veshi, and Amaan Hiyaa - special shelters that care for children under state guardianship through the Family and Children's Service Centers (FCSC) of the Ministry of Social and Family Development.

In this regard, Fiyavathi is a shelter dedicated to children from the Greater Malé Region. Amaan Veshi and Amaan Hiyaa house children under government care from all other parts of the country.

Dhiraagu stated that the donation will help support important programs set by the ministry for the well-being and development of children under state care.

Dhiraagu continues to work extensively to bring positive changes to children's futures under "inclusion", which is an important part of the company's CSR. As such, Dhiraagu has been providing Dhiraagu high-speed internet to all Amaan Veshi and Amaan Hiyaa shelters across the country to help meet the educational needs of children under state care.
