MPS launches probe into Black engine oil attack on Mandhy
Mandhy said she would not say that the first couple had no hand in this matter

The Maldives Police Service (MPS) has begun investigating the incident where black engine oil was thrown at Mariyam “Mandhy” Zubair, who is actively involved in political activities of the main opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP).
Speaking to RaajjeMV, the police institution confirmed that a case was reported at around 1:06am early Monday where two individuals on a motorcycle threw black engine oil at another motorcyclist on Kalaafaanu Hingun.
The police institution has confirmed they are further investigating the matter.
RaajjeMV understands that the black oil was thrown at Mandhy by individuals wearing helmets and masks, who arrived on a motorcycle.
An eyewitness revealed that the people who threw the black oil had been following Mandhy from near the MDP main campaign site on Chaandhanee Magu.
Mandhy highlighted that this was done by certain people sent under the influence of a particular group. She also stated that she would not say that President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and his wife First Lady Sajidha Mohamed had no hand in this matter.
