The opening hours for shops, cafés, and restaurants during Ramadan and the first seven days of Shawwal have been publicized.
The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade revealed that from 15 February 2025, and during Ramadan and the first seven days of Shawwal, retail establishments may stay open from 5:30am to 1am.
During Ramadan nights, food and beverage service establishments will be required to open doors for services from 5:30pm to 3am.
For the first seven days of Shawwal, food and beverage service establishments may stay open from 4:30am to 3am.
This means that including establishments across inhabited islands that have been granted round-the-clock service permits, all food and beverage service establishments have been instructed to follow the timings publicized by the ministry.
According to the calendar, the first day of Ramadan this year falls on March 1. The last day of Ramadan will be March 30. Consequently, Eid al-Fitr will be on March 31.
