Maziya loses to Arkadag in first match

Maziya’s match against Arkadag in the AFC Challenge League
Maziya Sports and Recreation, the most recent champion of the Maldives, has lost to FC Arkadag of Turkmenistan in their first match of the AFC Challenge League.
In the match played against FC Arkadag on Saturday night, Maziya lost 2 – 1.
Maziya was the first to score and take the lead in the match.
However, FC Arkadag came from behind, scoring two goals to overtake Maziya.
Maziya took the lead by scoring a goal right before the first half ended.
It was a goal by Palestinian midfielder Jonathan Cantillana, who signed onto Maziya for the AFC Challenge League.
He scored the goal with a ball received from a cross delivered by Ali “Sentey” Fasir.
Arkadag equalized the score in the 66th minute of the game with a goal from Durdyýew.
Arkadag scored their second goal to expand the lead in the 77th minute of the game.
Annadurdyýew scored the goal for the team.
Maziya is in Group B of the AFC Challenge League alongside FC Arkadag, Al-Arabi of Kuwait and FC Abdysh of Kazakhstan.
Abdysh has already won their match against Al-Arabi in the group stage.
Maziya's second match in the Challenge League will be against Al-Arabi on Tuesday.
