Operation of Home for People with Special Needs tasked to health ministry
The change has been implemented in the government's administrative structure

The Home for People with Special Needs, has been designated under the Ministry of Health.
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s decision to move the center to the purview of the health ministry was announced by the President’s Office on Thursday.
The decision was made under the powers vested to the president under Article 116(a) of the Constitution of Maldives.
The decision stemmed from recommendations of the president’s Cabinet of Ministers, to transfer the responsibility of operating and maintaining the center for people with special needs, under the health ministry.
The change has been implemented in the government's administrative structure starting Wednesday.
