FM Zameer exchanged views on elevating the existing close partnership between Maldives and Singapore

Discussions have been held on enhancing trade and investments between the governments of Maldives and Singapore.

This was done during a courtesy call Non-Resident High Commissioner of Singapore to the Maldives Soo kok Leng paid on Minister of Foreign Affairs Moosa Zameer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday.

Taking to social media platform ‘X’ following the meeting, FM Zameer expressed pleasure in meeting the high commissioner and highlighted that the Maldives and Singapore share similar challenges as fellow small states.

FM Zameer exchanged views on elevating the existing close partnership between Maldives and Singapore with the high commissioner.

Welcoming him to the Maldives, FM Zameer thanked High Commissioner Leng for the close ties of friendship and longstanding support and cooperation with the Maldives.

Expressing keen interest to further expand trade and investments between both countries, FM Zameer also touched upon views on further consolidating ties and avenues to collaborate in several areas that are of mutual benefit to both countries. 

The meeting was joined by Bilateral Secretary Dr. Hala Hameed, Additional Secretary Farzana Zahir and Assistant Director Aishath Jumana.
