Ooredoo reopens registration for Laamu Fun Run due to popular demand
The event welcomes both new and experienced runners to join in the excitement

Ooredoo Maldives has reopened registrations for their Laamu Fun Run event.
In a post on social media platform ‘X’ on Friday, the telecommunications giant revealed that they have reopened registrations for the ‘Ooredoo Fun Run’ event in Laamu atoll due to popular demand.
Ooredoo revealed that interested runners may register and book their slots by ordering their desired fun run kits viaMoolee.
Registrations will close on 27 June 2024.
Being held in Gan island of Laamu atoll, the much-anticipated Ooredoo Fun Run, previously and more commonly known as the celebrated Ooredoo Color Run event will kick off on 5 July 2024.
Ooredoo revealed that once participants register on Moolee, they can access the required kits and size, select them and add to cart before checking out and selecting a delivery address.
Fun Run kits have been made available in two categories; standard kits and fun kits. The latter comes at a price of MVR 200 and provides Fun Run t-shirts, wrist bands, tote bags, multi-purpose bandanas and shades.
The standard kits include Fun Run t-shirts and wrist bands and are priced at MVR 100 each.
Stressing that t-shirts cannot be exchanged once purchased, Ooredoo has urged participants to ensure they check the size chart properly and place the order for the correct size.
Enthusiastic runners of all ages are welcome to book their slots in the five-kilometer Fun Run, which promises several fun activities for participants.
The event welcomes both new and experienced runners to join in the excitement.
The event carries the purpose of encouraging healthy lifestyles and showing how enjoyable and fun running is. The organizer promises the event to be fun and worthwhile, even for beginners. For a splash of fun colors, each kilometer is separated with a “color station”, water and fun obstacles and every participant can finish the race at their desired pace, as it is not a timed race.
The event aims to promote running as a gateway to healthy living, and thousands from different age groups can participate to either run, jog or walk the five kilometers and have their efforts celebrated in style with a foam party, finisher medals and a music show.
Ooredoo Maldives has invited enthusiastic runners and professionals as well as members of the general public to join the event to soak in an amazing time with friends and family.
The previous fun runs hosted by Ooredoo were a massive success and received immense public praise.
As it is an untimed run, participants can take their time and enjoy the journey. Anyone above the age six years old can officially register. The run will include fun elements such as colors, obstacles as well as water.
