Pres. officiates oath-taking ceremony of MNDF's 70th basic training course

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has officiated the oath-taking and arms presentation ceremony for the graduates of the 70th Basic Training Course of the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF).

The president officiated the ceremony as the Commander-in-Chief of MNDF on Thursday.

The ceremony was held at Girifushi island.

Oaths were administered to the soldiers that graduated the MNDF’s 70th Basic Training Course by Supreme Court Justice Mahaz Ali Zahir.

President Muizzu presented arms to the soldiers.

MNDF's 70th Basic Training Course began on 18 October 2023.

98 recruits out of the 135, successfully completed the programme.

These included nine female and 89 male officers.

After the ceremony concluded, MNDF’s Special Forces presented the 'Special Forces Operation Display' to the president.
