Manhunt launched in phone theft case

Efforts to identify the suspect have been to no avail so far

The Maldives Police Service (MPS) has launched a manhunt for an individual involved in a case of theft.

In a publication on Monday, the police institution revealed that the manhunt was launched for an individual seen in a video footage they have published.

The case of theft is currently being investigated by the Galolhu Police Station.

The man is to have stolen a mobile phone from Bunka Mobiles, a shop located on Majeedhee Magu, on 18 March 2024.

The video footage was publicized as the authorities’ efforts to identify the suspect have been to no avail so far.

The public has been urged to contact the Galolhu Police Station on 9631699 if any information is attained on the identity or whereabouts of the suspect.

The police institution took the opportunity to express gratitude to the public for their immense support and cooperation extended in connection with such cases.
