The Prosecutor General’s Office (PG Office) has decided to put forward charges against an individual accused of stealing from an office.

The Maldives Police Service (MPS) arrested a 34-year-old Maldivian man in connection with the case.

He has been charged with stealing money from a private office. He is to have stolen more than MVR 800,000.

The PG Office has sought his remand pending the end of his trial.

The Criminal Court order states that the accused has a criminal record of similar cases in the past.

The court has received his confession, additional evidence and statements to prosecute him.
