The most essential needs of the community of Gadhdhoo island in Gaaf Dhaal atoll, have been shared with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
This was done during a meeting the president held with the island council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) on Wednesday, as part of his tour of some islands in the south of Maldives which he began on Sunday morning.
The meeting held at the Gaaf Dhaal Atoll Education Center saw discussions revolving around the need for land reclamation and the swift expedition of the hospital construction project.
In addition to this, the councilors shared concerns regarding the lack of space in their office, the need for improving the education sector as well as the island's social development.
Listening to these concerns, the president assured that the administration remains steadfast in delivering on its development pledges and commitments made to the island community.
Muizzu also acknowledged the concerns raised by the council and assured them that the administration would look into them and seek solutions to tackle the issues at hand.
