The incumbent administration’s primary goal has been to listen to the needs of the people and work to meet their aspirations, says President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
He said this during a meeting he held with the island’s community, as part of his tour of some islands in the south of Maldives which he began on Sunday morning.
Taking the podium at the meeting held at Madaveli School, the president noted that he has been briefed on the need for numerous projects required for the island’s development, by island councilors.
Muizzu assured the island community that he would work diligently to bring about the desired results.
Highlighting that it was a primary goal of the administration to resolve the housing issues, besides the national issues pledged by the administration, Muizzu assured that his administration would initiate a land reclamation project on the island.
Adding that his administration’s work will be carried out in a way that paves the path for long-term benefits for the island, Muizzu pledged to undertake a harbor development project, that would suit the needs of the island community.
Shedding light on the debt his administration has inherited, the president pledged to fulfill the needs of the people and produce results to revive the economy of economy, despite the challenges.
