The government will work to facilitate a favorable environment for scout activities in schools, says Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef.
The vice president made this remark while speaking to Maldivian scouts participating in Sri Lanka’s 10th National Scout Jamboree.
Taking the podium at the meeting held at Ghiyasuddin International School, the vice president noted that Maldives must prioritize activities such as scouting, as a country bound by friendly, cordial, and brotherly ties.
Highlighting the significance of upholding Maldivian values while representing the nation abroad, VP Latheef wished the best for the scouts participating in the Jamboree.
VP Latheef went on to stress the significance of maintaining good behavior, ethics, friendship, respect superiors and work together.
He also urged scouts to pay heed to prayers and manage their time well.
The meeting also saw the vice president acknowledging the significant work of scout leaders in arranging activities such as Scout Jamborees.
VP Latheef expressed gratitude to the leaders for their dedication towards societal progress.
242 Maldivian scouts are participating in the 10th National Scout Jamboree.
This is the biggest international scout contingent to attend the scout jamboree.
