President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu is on a tour of Thaa atoll.
The president departed on the tour of islands in Thaa atoll, on Tuesday.
During the three-day visit, Muizzu will be holding meetings with island residents, island councils and Women’s Development Committees (WDCs).
As part of the visit, Muizzu will be holding discussions regarding relevant development concerns of island communities.
He will also be inquiring about the urgent needs and desires of the island communities across Thaa atoll.
The first destination of the president’s visit was Guraidhoo island, where he received the highest percentage of votes in the presidential elections of 2023.
Muizzu earlier revealed that he would visit Guraidhoo first, as the president of Maldives.
The president has pledged to collaborate closely with the island communities and conduct regular visit to islands.
A high-level delegation of government officials accompanies the president on the tour of Thaa atoll.
