A body has been discovered at sea, off Velassaru Maldives Resort in south Malé atoll.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that they received reports of a man found dead at sea, at around 09:11am on Thursday.
Police findings so far indicate that the deceased was a 35-year-old Maldivian man who was employed at a resort in Kaafu atoll.
Further details of the deceased have not been disclosed by authorities.
However, the police institution is currently conducting further investigations in connection with the case.
