Probe ongoing regarding discovery of bullet on passenger at Kulhudhuffushi Airport

An investigation has been launched into the discovery of a bullet on a Maldivian passenger at Kulhudhuffushi Airport.

The Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that they received reports of a bullet being discovered inside a bag a female passenger at Kulhudhuffushi Airport was carrying.

The police institution received the report sometime on Friday evening.

No further details regarding the suspect have been disclosed by the authorities.

MPS highlighted that they had attended the case immediately after receiving the report.

As such, an investigation has been launched in connection with the case.

The case is being investigated jointly with the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF).
