People's Majlis session extended upto December 18
A total of 48 lawmakers voted in favor of extending the parliament session

The People’s Majlis has extended its ongoing session upto December 18.
The extension of the third session of the People’s Majlis was moved by the Speaker, Mohamed Aslam.
Earlier, the Majlis passed to extend the session, until December 7.
A total of 48 lawmakers voted in favor of extending the parliament session during Wednesday’s sitting.
The decision to extend the last session of the year comes at a time there are several pending tasks at the parliament, including approving the state budget for 2024.
The two most significant matters currently on the Majlis's agenda are; the work on the next year's budget and the approval of the newly appointed ministers.
