The President of Maldives, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has met with King Charles III.
President Muizzu met King Charles III on the sidelines of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28), on Friday.
Discussions were held regarding the longstanding bilateral relations between the two countries as well as further strengthening the excellent ties between the Maldives and the UK.
Further, President Muizzu and King Charles III engaged in discussions regarding climate change mitigation.
The Maldivian leader briefed the King on measures the Maldivian government has taken to mitigate climate change.
King Charles III assured his commitment to assist the Maldives with future environmental initiatives.
