The shore protection project in Kamadhoo island of Baa atoll, has been contracted to the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).
The contract was signed during a ceremony held at the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure on Wednesday.
Director General Fathimath Shana Farooq signed the agreement on behalf of the government and Chief Executive Officer Adam Azim signed it on behalf of MTCC.
Under the scope of the project, MTCC is required to construct a breakwater measuring 750 meters.
The Kamadhoo shore protection project is valued at MVR 24,467,940.00.
The Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure contracted the project to MTCC, to be finished in 180 days.
