The newly refurbished Maldives National Museum has been completed.
The newly refurbished Maldives National Museum will be open for the public on Wednesday.
As part of its 40th anniversary initiatives, Bank of Maldives supported the upgrade of the National Museum with a MVR two million project that focused on the care, preservation and display of the National Museum’s collection.
In addition to refurbishing the museum to allow display of previously unseen artifacts, the Bank also supported the development of a multimedia room to encourage public engagement on the country’s rich history.
Minister of Arts, Culture and Heritage, Yumna Maumoon and the Bank’s CEO and Managing Director, Karl Stumke visited the museum.
This initiative was carried out as part of high impact monthly community-based activities to mark the Bank’s 40th anniversary.
The first ATM installed in the country is now also on display at the museum.
