Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that the Harbor Channel Project of Kumundhoo Island in Haa Dhaalu Atoll is seeing fast progress.
MTCC on Sunday, disclosed that the Harbor Channel Project of Kumundhoo Island has seen overall 70 percent project progress.
Additionally, the company disclosed that the fourth shipment of rock boulders required for the project work, have been delivered to the site.
Under the scope of the project, MTCC is required to conduct new harbor dredging operations in an area measuring 9,346 cubic meters and channel dredging operations in an area measuring 4,954 cubic meters.
The construction of a breakwater measuring 242 meters and a 198-meter revetment is also included under the scope of the project.
MTCC will also be installing navigational aids.
