President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has wrapped up his campaign tour of Haa Alif atoll.
The Maldivian leader embarked on the tour of Haa Alif atoll as part of his campaign for re-election in the upcoming Presidential election, on Wednesday and wrapped up the tour in the early hours of Friday.
As part of his tour, the president visited 10 islands of Haa Alif atoll in the past two days.
President Solih inaugurated some of the completed development projects across these islands.
As such, he inaugurated the football ground established in Thuraakunu island, the water and sewerage system established in Uligan as well as the new powerhouse and FENAKA office built on the island.
Other projects the president inaugurated as part of his campaign tour include the Molhadhoo harbor, new powerhouse and FENAKA office, the Ihavandhoo harbor, FENAKA office and multipurpose hall established in Ihavandhoo School.
During his visit to Ihavandhoo the president also unveiled a community center established on the island, as well as a football field.
As part of his visit to Maarandhoo, President Solih unveiled the new FENAKA office building.
The new volleyball court established in Thakandhoo island was also inaugurated.
Among other projects unveiled during the tour include a football ground in Dhidhdhoo island and the new extension building of Vashafaru island’s health center.
President Solih remains confident that he has the support of island communities across the globe, to succeed in the upcoming September polls.
The president has so far embarked on campaign tours of Shaviyani atoll, Meemu, Vaavu and Kaafu atolls.
