President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih is in Gulhi island of Kaafu atoll, on a campaign tour for re-election in the upcoming Presidential election.
As part of the ongoing tour, the president will be visiting three islands in the Guraidhoo constituency.
Gulhi was the first destination of his tour, where he received a warm welcome from the island community.
During the visit, the president officially opened the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) campaign site in Gulhi island and joined the island residents at a gathering.
President Solih inquired about the needs and urgent requirements of the island residents.
The Maldivian leader is scheduled to travel to Guraidhoo and Maafushi next.
