The harbor development project in Muraidhoo island of Haa Alif atoll, is well underway.
The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) took to Twitter to update the public on the progress of the Muraidhoo harbor development project, on Tuesday.
As such, the company revealed that the Muraidhoo harbor development project has reached 72 percent progress.
MTCC revealed that they have delivered the second shipment of rock boulders required for the project, to the site.
The company added that the breakwater profiling work has reached 17 percent completion.
Under the scope of the project, MTCC is required to conduct new harbor basin dredging operations in an area measuring 32,721 cubic meters and channel dredging operations in an area measuring 3,817 cubic meters.
The construction of a 232-meter quay wall, a breakwater measuring 395 meters, a revetment measuring 202 meters and a 50-meter groyne also comes as part of the project.
Further, the company was also contracted to install a harbor pavement measuring 1,933 square meters.
The construction of a ramp, a concrete bridge and the installation of streetlights and navigational aids also come under the scope of the project.
The project is valued at MVR 37.69 million.
