Man wanted for assault using sharp weapon

The Maldives Police Service (MPS) has issued a manhunt for an individual wanted in connection with a case of breaking in and assault using a dangerous weapon.
In a publication on Tuesday, MPS revealed that their Serious and Organized Crime Department is currently investigating a case of a group of individuals breaking into an apartment in the congested capital, Malé City, threatening a resident with a sharp weapon, assaulting someone with a dangerous weapon and damaging property at the apartment.
Wanted in connection with the case is Ibrahim Sameen, 34 and native to Maduvvari island of Raa atoll.
Sameen is wanted to be taken into police custody under a court order, in connection with the case.
The public has been urged to reach out to the Police Serious and Organized Crime Department through 9911099 or hotline 3322111 if any information regarding the whereabouts of the suspect is attained.
The police institution took the opportunity to express gratitude to the public for the assistance and support extended in connection with such matters.
