The land reclamation and shore protection project in Gulhi island of Kaafu atoll has been mobilized.

The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company revealed this on Wednesday.

As such, providing the latest update of the project, MTCC revealed that they mobilized the Gulhi land reclamation and shore protection project on Saturday.

Under the scope of the project, the company is required to conduct reclamation operations in an area measuring 10.15 hectares.

The construction of a rock boulder revetment measuring 940 meters and a geo bag revetment measuring 362 meters are also included in the scope of the project.

Under the project MTCC will also be building a rock boulder groyne in an area measuring 88 meters.

The project is valued at MVR 82.99 million.
