The government has decided to reduce the price of electricity.

The decision was announced at a press conference on Sunday.

Speaking to the media at the conference, Minister of Environment and Energy Thoriq Ibrahim said that the government has decided to reduce the tariff rates for electricity by 10 to 15 percent.

It was informed that the "change will be seen in the August bill", and that the price of electricity will be reduced in all islands across the country.
