Dhiraagu launches ‘Dhiraagu Football Eid’ campaign

Dhiraagu will be launching three major promotions

The ‘Dhiraagu Futuboalha Eid’ or Dhiraagu Football Eid campaign has been launched.

The telecommunications giant launched the campaign during a special press conference held at their head office on Thursday.

Under the ‘Dhiraagu Futuboalha Eid’ campaign, the telecom provider will be launching three major promotions including the “Jehee Libunee GB” which roughly translates to “Receive GB when a goal is scored”, “Magic Data” and “Double Data”.

Under the “Jehee Libunee GB” promo, customers can do a one-time registration of their team through the dedicated webpage on Dhiraagu website and enjoy 1GB of free data when their favorite team scores a goal. The package carries up to a total of 5GB per match.

Further, all prepaid customers who activate the Magic Data add-on – 25GB for MVR 350 – will be awarded free data randomly, up to 100 percent of the total add-on amount which will be valid for 30 days from activation under the “Magic Data” promo.

Dhiraagu revealed that for selected Mobile Postpaid, Mobile Broadband and Fiber Broadband data boosters, customers will get to enjoy double the data during the promo period under the third promotion.

The telecom provider also announced that they will be holding a special ‘Guess the Player?’ quiz across their social media platform handles including Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, through the campaign.

Through this, five winners stand a chance to receive a gift voucher worth MVR 3,000 and one lucky participant will also be chosen from all five rounds and has been promised a PlayStation5 with a FIFA 23 game.

In addition to this, the telecom provider will also be providing a special sticker pack for the campaign, on Viber and Telegram, for their customer base.

Speaking at Thursday’s presser, Assistant Manager Advertising at Dhiraagu, Hassan Sharih expressed excitement to launch the campaign to celebrate the greatest football festival of 2022, the FIFA World Cup 2022 slated to kick off in Qatar next week.

Sharih noted that they hope to make the campaign’s festivities more vibrant with these special offers and promotions, adding that they hope the promotions will pave the path for the World Cup 2022 to reach the doorsteps of all football fans in the Maldives.

By offering their customer base exciting new offers, Dhiraagu remains dedicated to supporting the community in such big events and enhancing the digital experience of the community.
