Minister of Health Ahmed Naseem has been awarded the Order of the Dignified Rule of Muleege Dynasty.

The honor was presented to him by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih during the official ceremony held at Dharubaaruge to confer this year’s National Awards, on Thursday evening.

President Solih made the decision to honor the Health Minister in order to recognize his national level contributions to the government over a period of more than 37 years and considering his role as one of the pioneers of the Maldives tourism industry during trying times.

The Order of the Dignified Rule of Muleege Dynasty commemorates the rule of Al-Sultan Muhammed Shamsuddin.

Speaking at the National Awards ceremony, President Solih noted that he believes the Health Minister’s contributions and services to the country must be recognized and celebrated at a national level.
