The Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation have signed an agreement to issue licenses to national certificate holders.

The agreement was signed by the Minister on behalf of the Ministry of Higher Education. Ibrahim Hassan. Minister Aishath Nahula signed on behalf of the Ministry of Transport.

Following the signing of this agreement, those who have obtained the National Certificate of the Maldives National Skills Development Authority will be able to obtain a license to drive road and marine vehicles in the transport sector without any further examination.

With the completion of the programs for the National Competency Standards in the Transport Sector currently formulated by MNSDA, students will be able to obtain a license in the field of transport without any further examination.

Currently, applicants who have obtained National Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Operations, National Certificate III in Bus Operations and National Certificate III in Boat Operations will be licensed without further examination under the National Competency Standards for Transport.
