Maldives has appointed a new High Commissioner to Singapore.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih made the appointment on Thursday.
Ahmed Thasmeen Ali was presented with his Letter of Credence during a ceremony held at the President’s Office.
The new High Commissioner of the Republic of Maldives to the Republic of Singapore completed his bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom.
Thasmeen earlier served as the Minister of Atolls Administration.
He also filled the position of Minister of Home Affairs.
The new High Commissioner to Singapore also served as a Member of Parliament and the Deputy Speaker of Parliament.
