Four men broke into the office
An individual has been injured in an assault by a group of men who broke into Medianet’s office on Thursday.
Four men broke into the office, located in Orchid Magu of the congested capital, Malé City.
Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that they received reports of the assault inside Medianet office at around 05:48pm on Thursday.
The victim of the assault was rushed to ADK Hospital for treatment.
An employee at the office told RaajjeMV that all of the employees were inside the call center at the time of the break in.
The employees at the call center are to have heard some of the staff at the office yell and scream following the assault. Their initial thought was that the employees were just having fun. However, they are to have caught a glimpse of the four men who broke in, after stepping outside to see what was going on.
The employees revealed that the intruders had proceeded to assault an employee with a wrench. The victim was attacked just as he entered the room from an inner section of the office .
Further investigations are currently underway.
