Medianet has issued a statement warning any person or company that telecasts its channels without permission will be met with legal action. 

Medianet noted that some establishments televise TV channels which the company has exclusive rights over, without their authorization and affirmed that this is something the company will not tolerate.

If other institutions wish to broadcast channels under the authorized distributorship of Medianet, they must make an agreement with the company, otherwise it would count as infringement of broadcasting and copyright laws.

Medianet is the largest Pay TV and cable TV operator in the Maldives that has the right to rebroadcast multiple channels within the Maldives.
