Discussions held on enhancing air service linkages between Maldives, Rwanda
The Maldivian state minister is undertaking an official visit to Rwanda to attend the Pre-CHOGM Commonwealth Foreign Affairs Ministers Meeting from June 20 – 23
The ministers discussed avenues for further strengthening bilateral and multilateral ties

Discussions have been held on enhancing air service linkages between Maldives and Rwanda.

The talks were held between Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Khaleel and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Rwanda, Vincent Biruta.

At the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Rwanda, both ministers shed light on the increased level of cooperation between the two countries in recent years.

The ministers went on to reaffirm their mutual commitment to sustain the close bonds.

The discussions also saw the ministers touching down on avenues for further strengthening bilateral and multilateral ties between the two countries in a wide range of areas of mutual importance.

Said areas include trade, agriculture, maritime transport, tourism and people to people contact which can all be increased through enhanced air service linkages between Maldives and Rwanda.

The meeting was joined by Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ahmed Shiaan and Counselor at the High Commission of Maldives in London Yameen Shahid.
