Bank of Maldives (BML) has announce the recipients of the BML Scholarship Fund 2022.
The three recipients of the BML Scholarship Fund 2022 are; Ahmed Nisaal Abdulla, Aminath Maisa Niyaz and Ismail Zakwan Shihad.
CEO and Managing Director of BML states that the bank is proud to award the first of their fully funded scholarships to three outstanding young Maldivians.
Highlighting that the Scholarship offers the opportunity to develop the next generation of leaders in the country, the MD expressed how pleased the bank is to have selected candidates who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievements and leadership potential.
Sawyer stated that supporting the academic growth of young adults with a dedication to their communities is a great way to give back and invest in the future of the country.
The Scholarship Fund is a fully funded merit-based international scholarship through which recipients can select any undergraduate program in a banking and finance related area from the top 200 universities in the world.
The highly competitive Fund was open for academically meritorious students with a strong desire to contribute to the development of the local banking and finance industry after graduation.
The Bank launched its scholarship program in November of 2021 as the first of 12 high impact monthly community initiatives to celebrate the lead up to the Bank’s 40th anniversary.
