Belgium Ambassador pays farewell call on State Minister Khaleel
State Minister Khaleel thanked the ambassador for his strong commitment and contribution to solidify the partnership

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium, Francois Delhaye has paid a farewell call on Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ahmed Khaleel.

The meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday.

During the meeting, State Minister Khaleel congratulated the ambassador on successfully completing his tenure and expressed gratitude for his hard work to enhance cooperation between the Maldives and Belgium.

The Maldivian state minister and Belgium ambassador went on to explore ways through which the existing bilateral cooperation between the two countries may be solidified, particularly in the areas of education, trade, investment, environment and climate change.

The meeting also saw State Minister Khaleel thanking the ambassador for his strong commitment and contribution to solidify the partnership between Maldives and the European Union.

The meeting was also attended by Joint Secretary Shiuneen Rasheed and Assistant Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mohamed Shaffau Ibrahim.
