The recent high-level engagements between Maldives and Bangladesh have further cemented relations, says Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdulla Shahid.
He made this remark in his message to Minister for Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh Dr. A. K. Abdul Momen on the occasion of the 51st Independence Day of Bangladesh.
As such, highlighting that Maldives and Bangladesh will be celebrating 44 years of diplomatic relations in November 2022, FM Shahid noted that the links between the date centuries of the people and the relations between the two countries have diversified and strengthened over time.
With this being said, the Maldivian foreign minister noted that the recent high-level engagements have further cemented the partnership between Maldives and Bangladesh.
FM Shahid went on to assure his Bangladeshi counterpart that Maldives remains committed to preserve and enhance the “time-tested” relations of friendship and cooperation between Maldives and Bangladesh.

FM Shahid conveyed his best wishes to the good health and well-being of his Bangladeshi counterpart and for the continued progress and prosperity of the brotherly people of Bangladesh.
