Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid sends Independence Day greetings to his counterpart in Mauritius.
Minister Shahid sent a message to the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade and Minister for Land Transport and Light Rail of Mauritius, Alan Ganoo, on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Mauritius.
In his message, Minister Shahid extend his well wishes to the Minister, the Government and the people of Mauritius. He also stated that he is confident that the bonds of friendship between Maldived and Mauritius will continue to develop and flourish in the years ahead.
Mauritius got its independence on March 12, 1968 and became a Republic in 1992. This year Mauritius celebrated its 53rd Independence Day.
