President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has concluded his official trip to the United Arab Emirates.
The Maldivian president departed from Velana International Airport on Sunday morning and returned to Maldives on Wednesday.
The Maldivian president toured the pavilions of the Expo 2020 Dubai on Monday, making stops at the pavilion of Maldives, the pavilion of Singapore, the Italy pavilion and the Vision pavilion.
The Maldives pavilion promotes the country under the Sustainability theme at the dExpo 2020 Dubai and features the sustainable practices to address climate change as well as its success in co-existing with the environment.
As part of his recent official visit to the middle east, President Solih also attended the opening ceremony of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) and the presentation of the Zayed Sustainability Prize on Monday.
The Maldivian president’s visit to UAE came upon the invitation of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces.
A delegation of high-level government officials accompanied the president during the official visit.
