Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has revealed that the progress of the shore protection project in Thulhaadhoo island in Baa atoll is at 70 percent.
The company revealed that work on the design and build of shore protection structures at the island is currently ongoing smoothly, with overall 70 percent of the project having been completed by Tuesday.
The scope of the work for the project includes the backfilling of 11,700 cubic meters of sand and bed preparation. MTCC revealed that these components have since been completed.
The company is also contracted to construct a 280-meter bag revetment under the project.
The project is valued at MVR 10.13 million.
