All government institutions and state offices have been instructed to use the logo to be used to celebrate and promote the country’s Golden Jubilee Year of Tourism 2022.

In a publication on Wednesday, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih directed the use of the Golden Year of Tourism 2022 logo to kick off the golden jubilee of the tourism sector, all official correspondence from 1 January 2022 onwards.

The Ministry of Tourism has since been directed to provide the required information about the logo to all government institutions and state offices.

The ministry unveiled the creative logo during March 2021. The logo was unveiled by Chairman of Maldives Association of Tourism Industry (MATI), Mohamed Umar Manik, who played a pivotal role in introducing tourism in the nation.

Designed by Ahmed Nashath and Mohamed Azlif, the Golden Jubilee Year of Maldives Tourism 2022 logo reflects the country’s rich culture, heritage and environment.

Promotional activities launched into the beginning of the concluding year, with the ministry’s social media accounts flooded with video clips featuring messages by senior industry officials as well as industry workers.

It has been 50 years since zealous travelers have been visiting the Maldives which has been drawing in visitors with its picturesque beauty for years. Maldives is gearing up to mark 50 years since the tourism industry’s inception, in 2022, which is to be celebrated as the golden year of tourism in Maldives.
