Indoor cricket introduced in the Maldives for the first time

President launches new player's lounge, “Hithaai Roohun Kulheyshe Cricket” logo and Indoor Cricket
The government has inaugurated a cricket player’s lounge as well as the “Hithaai Roohun Kulheyshe Cricket” logo and indoor cricket.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih inaugurated the player’s lounge “Jaleel’s Lounge” during a ceremony held at the Malé Sports Complex on Saturday.
The ceremony was also joined by Vice President Faisal Naseem, the President and Vice President of the Cricket Board of Maldives (CBM) and the President of Milan Cricket Academy (Milan CA).
The oldest cricket academy, Milan CA developed and donated the player’s lounge to Cricket Board of Maldives.
Further, the ceremony saw President Solih and VP Naseem presented with copies of the “Hithaai Roohun Kulheyshe Cricket” logo.
During the event, President Solih and VP Naseem participated in a friendly game of indoor cricket as captains on opposing teams, respectively named as “President Eleven Team” and “Vice President Eleven Team”.
The teams comprised of veteran and current cricket players as well as top cricket officials, the game was won by the team captained by VP Naseem by 89 runs in 10 overs. President Solih’s team fell short with 85 runs and 12 overs.
