The government of Maldives has strongly condemned the drone attacks on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs revealed that the launching of 17 drones loaded with explosives, targeting Khamis Mushait and Najran of the Saudi Kingdom is strongly condemned by the government of Maldives.

The government has reaffirmed solidarity with the brotherly people and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and reiterated Maldives’ resilient commitment to engage closely with the international community in the fight against terrorism, in all its forms and manifestations.

The increased threats to the stability of the region is exhibited by the recent increase and continuation of such attacks to civil areas, this the ministry said indicated the urgent need for constructive engagement by the parties concerned to find peaceful solutions to such conflicts.
