Maldivian has announced special flights to Cochin and Trivandrum of India.
The flights were scheduled to two the cities of India as the academic new year holidays approach and Maldivian revealed that the change was to accommodate the many foreign teachers who will be traveling back home for the holidays.
Three weekly flights are scheduled to Cochin, on June 16, 20 and 21.
The flights to Trivandrum are scheduled on June 19, 21 and 24.
Maldivian recently halted its call center services and are currently providing online services. The country’s national airline revealed that services were switched online due to the worsening Covid-19 situation in the Maldives and until case numbers decline.
The airline will be open for bookings via email or Viber platform.
Maldivian is presently conducting flights to India and Bangladesh, due to growing threats of Covid-19 in the south Asian region, Maldives has banned arrivals from the region. However, those native to said regions may return home through Maldivian flights.
Maldivian earlier halted its call center services due to the lockdown triggered by Covid-19 in early 2020. The call center was reopened on June 20 last year.
The country’s national airline continues to put in relentless efforts to ensure services are provided efficiently to the people. The company has also introduced a special mobile app for ticket issuance, through which many customers have been making bookings.
Tickets may be acquired through their Viber platform as well as email every working day from 10am to 2pm. Tickets will also be issued on Saturdays.
