The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) developed a fully functional emergency ventilator, which was demonstrated on Monday evening.
MNDF said that prototype devices will only be put into operation after proper tests and trials are conducted.

A demonstration was held in an auditorium at the MNDF headquarters, with the Minister of Defense Mariya Didi, Chief of Defense Force, Major General Abdulla Shamaal as well as vice chief Brigadier General Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef in attendance.
