Defence lawyers begin cross examining witness after Judge asked the state attorney to sit down after failing to comply with his order to stick with questions asked during interrogation

Did not have any campaign funds in 2015 (after the presidential speed boat explosion), that I owed to Yameen. There were no elections ahead at that time: Adeeb

He further claims that they had made interactions regarding the island acquisition fees "even after boat explosion"

We raised funds for PPM by selling our policies. Most funds received by an individual was around MVR 200,000: Adeeb

Former Vice President Ahmed Adeeb has been brought to the trial as a witness.

Court goes to break as state's second witness is yet to be presented.

Attorney said that police were informed to present him to court by 11. Judge went to break after noting that the witness had not been presented by 11:24am

State objects after defence questions Muavviz regarding SoF's other transactions.

Judge allows, Muavviz replied that there were other cheques deposited to SoF's account prior to the MVR one million transfer to Yameen' account. There is reason to believe these were owed to MMPRC as acquisition costs of islands.

He adds that SoF account had USD 800,000 prior to the USD 1.2 million cheque

Four members attended both meetings related to this. All voted to compile a detailed report. It is possible that some members did not sign the meeting notes, then-president did not sign possibly because he has not been unavailable since, the other three members have signbed : Muavviz responds to questions whether then ACC-president Hassan Luthufee had attended the meeting noting that his signature is not in notes

Ex-President Yameen has requested Judge Hailam to give adequate time to question Muavviz Rasheed.

Luthufee on Wednesday revealed his decision not to testify in the trial. While he made the announcement via a Facebook post, this has since been deleted

State ends questioning and defence begins cross examination

State has submitted new documents to the court; notes from the meetings mentioned by the witness, where the members voted to compile report

The decision to compile a report of the funds transferred to Yameen's account was made through a vote among members, after police inquired on the matter twice: Muavviz

Hearing begins. ACC president takes the witness stand for the second time.

Judge Hailam has given the state 30 minutes to question its witness, while the defence has also been given 30 minute to cross examine him.

Afterwards, state will be given an additional 15 minutes.

Former President Yameen has set off from his residence, to the criminal court.

Eight names were submitted by state as witnesses against Yameen:

1. ACC's former President Hassan Luthufee

2. ACC President Muavviz Rasheed

3. Former Vice President Ahmed Adeeb

4. Former Tourism Minister Moosa Zameer

5. MMPRC's former MD Abdulla Ziyath

6. BML board member Mohamed Luvaiz

7. BML deputy CEO Mohamed Shareef

8. Mohamed Waseem Ismail

While this is the third hearing in the case, the court is currently hearing from the state witnesses.

Thus far, only President of Anti-Corruption Commission, Muavviz Rasheed has testified in the case. He is expected to take the witness stand today as well.
