President of Azerbaijan arrives in Maldives for family vacation

Ilham Aliyev, the President of Azerbaijan has arrived in the Maldives for holidays.
RaajjeMV understands that President Aliyev touched down at Velana International Airport on March 18 and he is accompanied by his family.
It has also been reported that the Azerbaijan President is joined by a delegation of 48 members.
Aliyev and family will be staying at One & Only Reethi Rah Resort during their two-week stay.
A country’s president has arrived in the Maldives for vacation at a time Maldives has been recognized as a safe travel destination among many. This is backed by the country’s success story in reaching its new target tourist arrivals for 2020, as well as the increasing number of tourist arrivals to the popular archipelago travel destination.
The Ministry of Tourism has also been conducting many efforts to ensure the safety of travelers and tourists.
Out of the total tourist arrivals Maldives has recorded since borders were reopened for international travel during July 2020 after a nearly four-month closure, 0.21 percent of tourists have tested positive for the Covid-19 infection.
