Land being leased to businesses from Addu City Tourism Zones
Addu City Tourism Zones include Hithadhoo, Maradhoo, Feydhoo, Hulhudhoo and Meedhoo Tourism Zones
Businesses sought include restaurants,, spas, diving and watersports centers, in addition to souvenir shops
The Addu City Council has opened the call for proposals to lease land from Addu City Tourism Zones in Hithadhoo, Maradhoo, Feydhoo, Hulhudhoo and Meedhoo for a period of 20 years.
Addu City Council has announced that any businesses with operations pertaining to tourism may submit proposals to lease the land, being issued from Tourism Zones in Hithadhoo, Maradhoo, Feydhoo, Hulhudhoo and Meedhoo for a period of 20 years.
The Addu City Council has further detailed the land size and tourism-related services allocated for each space up for leasing.
One 4,000 sqft plot for a restaurant and entertainment center
One 3,000 sqft plot for the development of a spa
Two 2,000 sqft plots for watersports and diving center
One 3,000 sqft plot for a restaurant
One 3,000 sqft plot for the development of a spa
One 2,000 sqft plot for laundry/laundromat services
One 1,500 sqft plot for rental services
One 2,000 sqft plot for the development of a spa
One 8,000 sqft plot for a restaurant and entertainment center
One 2,000 sqft plot for watersports
One 2,000s qft plot for the development of a souvenir shop
One 5,000 sqft for restaurant and entertainment center
One 2,500 sqft for the development of a shop
One 2,500 sqft plot for rental services
One 4,000 sqft plot for visitors center and souvenir shop

The bid documents for the leasing will be sold on all working days between 14 and 25 March, between 9AM and 1PM from the Secretariat of the Addu City Council. The bid documents will be sold at a price of MVR 1,000.
In addition to this, the Addu City Council has requested that all interested parties submit their proposals before the end of the given deadline. The submission of proposals to lease land from Addu City Tourism Zones will be held at the Secretariat of the Addu City Council at 1PM on 11 April 2021
