Bodybuilding Association of Maldives (BBAM) has signed an agreement with RaajjeTV, handing over excusive rights to its Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship -or Mr. Maldives- for the next three years.

The agreement was signed on Monday evening, by the station’s Managing Director Ahmed Saleem and BBAM’s deputy Ahmed Aiman.

The impressive deal gives RaajjeTV exclusive rights to BBAM’s most popular event, Mr. Maldives, for the next three years. It also includes pre-show and promotional clauses which will allow the TV station to work with the athletes.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, BBAM’s Aiman said that the deal with RaajjeTV will help them expand the show even further. He also noted the station’s efforts to include the sports industry, despite ongoing difficulties.

Bodybuilder Ali Saleem Ibrahim said that RaajjeTV’s interest in Mr. Maldives will encourage all bodybuilders, adding that it shows that the station has welcomed their hard work.

Also at the event, RaajjeTV’s Head of Sport Hussain Fariyaaz said that the deal is part of RaajjeTV’s efforts to boost the sports field. Further noting that the deal with be beneficial to BBAM as well, Fariyaaz said that it will certainly help make the athletes household names.

Fariyaaz added that RaajjeTV intends to make the next Mr. Maldives event scheduled for March 26, the biggest ever.
